Sankei Building has established an Environmental Philosophy, Environmental Policy, and environmental goals.
We promote business activities with these in mind.
As an ambitious developer, The Sankei Building Co., Ltd. strives to conserve the global environment by being conscious of reducing environmental impact in various stages from development to operation and demolition, and by harmonizing with nature.
We view consideration for the environment as a critical issue and act with the aim of "Coexistence with the Environment."
Enacted April 20, 2005
Sankei Building identifies 7 of the 17 SDG goals that are strongly related to our business activities as priority issues. In various developments we promote, we contribute to solving these issues through business activities to reduce the environmental load on society and lead to infrastructure development in cities and regions.
As a real estate developer, we aim to provide safe, secure, and comfortable spaces for users by continually introducing environmental considerations and energy-saving measures into the various buildings we develop in cities, while also adopting measures to enhance tenant comfort.
Sankei Building aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 50% by fiscal 2030 to realize a decarbonized society. We position this goal as a matter that requires our focused attention, with the entire company working toward it.
Against the total emissions of fiscal 2013 (base year), we aim to realize our decarbonization goal, "CARBON HALF" (a 50% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 total CO2 emissions by fiscal 2030 vs fiscal 2013), and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
To realize CARBON HALF by fiscal 2030, we will promote the development of properties that acquire environmental certifications. In addition to new development projects, we will also work on energy conservation in existing buildings, such as switching to LED lighting and heat source renovation plans. Furthermore, we will work on energy creation by installing solar panels on new development projects, such as logistics facilities, and implementing self-consumption.
The CO2 emissions disclosed by Sankei Building undergo third-party verification.
