Environmental Philosophy

As an ambitious developer, The Sankei Building Co., Ltd. strives to conserve the global environment by being conscious of reducing environmental impact in various stages from development to operation and demolition, and by harmonizing with nature.

Environmental Policy

We view consideration for the environment as a critical issue and act with the aim of "Coexistence with the Environment."

Compliance with Laws and Regulations

We adhere to laws and regulations related to the environment, as well as the environmental codes of conduct of the industries and affiliated organizations that we endorse.

Conservation of Resources and Energy

In new developments and renovations of existing buildings, we promote the adoption of environmentally friendly, energy-saving systems and proper waste disposal to conserve resources and energy.

Contribution to a Recycling-Oriented Society

We further promote planning, design, and development aimed at the reuse and life extension of resources, facilities, and equipment, striving for waste reduction and recycling.

Reduction of Environmental Impact

We understand our impact on the environment, set and review environmental objectives and targets, and strive for environmental improvement and reduction of environmental impact, such as considering CO2 reduction, to prevent pollution.

Establishment and Continuous Improvement of Environmental Management System

We establish an environmental management system, raise environmental awareness both internally and externally through environmental education, and continuously improve the management system through internal audits and management reviews.

SDGs Achievement Targets

Sankei Building identifies 7 of the 17 SDG goals that are strongly related to our business activities as priority issues. In various developments we promote, we contribute to solving these issues through business activities to reduce the environmental load on society and lead to infrastructure development in cities and regions.
As a real estate developer, we aim to provide safe, secure, and comfortable spaces for users by continually introducing environmental considerations and energy-saving measures into the various buildings we develop in cities, while also adopting measures to enhance tenant comfort.

CO2 Reduction Targets

Sankei Building aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 50% by fiscal 2030 to realize a decarbonized society. We position this goal as a matter that requires our focused attention, with the entire company working toward it.

Against the total emissions of fiscal 2013 (base year), we aim to realize our decarbonization goal, "CARBON HALF" (a 50% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 total CO2 emissions by fiscal 2030 vs fiscal 2013), and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
