At GRANVISTA Hotels & Resorts, Co., Ltd. facilities, we are engaged in multifaceted initiatives for nature conservation and environmental protection.

● Hosting Natural Cultivation Dinner Events
In 2023, marking the 10th year of the opening of our company-operated natural cultivation farm, GRANVISTA Farm Sapporo, we held a natural cultivation dinner event at Sapporo Park Hotel, co-hosted with the Shizensaibai Party (Natural Cultivation Collective). This was born from our desire to allow many guests to experience the appeal of natural cultivation. Our hotel chefs showcased their skills using naturally cultivated vegetables from across the country in a one-day-only dinner course. Prior to the dinner, we also hosted a lecture by Mr. Akinori Kimura, known for the 2013 nationally released film Kiseki no ringo (Fruits of Faith).

● Utilizing Used Coffee Grounds from the Hotel's Specialty Coffee for Warosoku Candles
Warosoku (traditional Japanese candles) are eco-friendly candles made from natural materials, without the use of petroleum-based substances. At Intergate Hotels, we reused the coffee grounds left after brewing the hotel's "Specialty Coffee" to create original warosoku called "ECOffee Ko" ("Eco-Coffee Powder"). We created two types: one where coffee grounds in hemp bags are boiled in melted leftover wax to transfer the scent and color of the coffee, and another where the used coffee beans are ground and mixed directly into the leftover wax.

● Creating ECO Tumblers through Industry-Academia Collaboration
Since its opening, Hotel Intergate Osaka Umeda has been conducting industry-academia collaboration projects with the Osaka University of Arts. In 2024, the third year of the project, focusing on sustainability, we joined "Osaka My Bottle Partners." We produced ECO tumblers designed by the students.
