Breaking free from fixed preconceptions and continuously reforming and innovating - this is the stance corporations must have in today's dynamically changing business environment. Looking back over the 60 years since our founding and ahead to the leaps forward we will make in the decade to come, the Sankei Building will go beyond the three core pillars of our Building Business, Residential Business, and Senior Housing Management Business, aiming to further expand our range of B2C operations.
Our vision is to go beyond the boundaries of being a mid-sized developer, growing and expanding across a broader spectrum of business areas.
For example, in our Residential Business, we have started a Property Renewal Business focusing on breathing new life into extant properties, while as our LEFOND business continues to expand into a 1,000 unit operation, we are beginning to look at entering into the real estate brokerage field. In our Senior Housing Management Business, we are planning to begin developing senior citizens housing.
In our Investment & Asset Management Business, we have started a new business model based on development and sales of rental condominiums. We are also involved with the development of commercial facilities, theatre hall operations, and our food business, illustrating the diversity of our endeavors bringing us beyond the boundaries of a standard real estate services company.
At the same time, we have been an early adopter of a development philosophy centering on co-existing in harmony with the environment, illustrated by the deployment of solar-powered electrical systems and solar-powered water heating systems in our new LEFOND properties. These are good examples of our swift move be a leader in the adoption of renewable energy solutions to meet the expectations of an increasingly environmentally-conscious society.
We see these steps to build operations based on the person-to-person businesses of the B2C realm as an appropriate next stage in our growth as a diversified business platform composed of a variety of different group companies. We also see this diversification as the best way to win the continuing broad support, and business, of the urban consumer. In these ways, Sankei Building is continuously working to move deeper into the hearts and minds of the individual, so that we may continue to discover and create new ways to delight our core constituency of people living in the major urban centers of Japan.
